DRAKE’S MANSION
October 1st, 3:07 AM. One last delivery.
The goal
- Deliver the order. 3:07 AM at his gate: press the intercom, walk in, leave the bag in the kitchen. The door locks behind you.
- Find the safe. It is on a different floor every night.
- Six numbers, one on every floor. From the crypt to the attic. Some only show through the camera. Every number makes the house worse.
- Get out before six. The safe has the key to the front door. Then the gate. Then run.

- Left thumb walks: a stick comes up under it. Push to the edge to run.
- Drag on the right to look. A quick tap there uses what you are looking at.

- Upright or sideways: sideways is best.
- When he grabs you: TAP! on the prompt, fast (a phone needs fewer taps).
Tips
- Static on your phone: he is close. Your flashlight flickers: he is very close.
- Don’t look at his face. Look at him too long and he charges.
- Your flashlight shows you the house, and shows him where you are. It eats the battery; a charger puts some back.
- Read the notes the other guests left. They are the house’s rules.
- The night saves as you go: after the door, at the safe, every two numbers. CONTINUE picks it up.
- Caught costs 12 minutes of the night. TAKE CARE (on the title) makes the whole night easier.
18+: gore, jump scares and flashing images. STREAM-SAFE (on the title) takes out the single-frame images; TAKE CARE makes the night easier. A parody. Not affiliated with Drake or OVO.
HOUSE RULES
Break a rule. He’ll come for you.
The goal
- Read the rule on the card as each room begins. The Butler reads it to you too.
- Fight. Your fists, or anything you can lift: chairs, vases, barrels. Throw them.
- Listen for the bell. If you hear it, the Butler is in the room. Keep moving.
- Get to the far door. Ten rooms, from the Great Hall to the Lady’s rooms at the top of the tower.

- HIT punches (hold for more) or swings what you hold. GRAB picks things up, and throws them. DODGE gets you out of the way.
- Best sideways; upright works too.
Tips
- The map in the corner turns with you. The far door shows in gold once it opens.
- Little bottles of tonic fall out of broken things. Most of them are good for you.
- Dodge (Space) and nothing can touch you for a moment. Not even him.
- Three lives a run; a knock-out restarts the room. CONTINUE picks up at the last room you cleared.
- Thirty stars: one for clearing each room, one for keeping its rule, one for beating its time.
- The Lady in Blue: your fists go straight through her. Throw things.
- Rather play it calmer? SCARES: OFF, on the title or in the pause menu, takes out the house’s scares between the fights and the faces when you fall. The rules, the Butler and the fights stay as they are.
HOLD YOUR BREATH
They can’t see you. They can hear you.
The goal
- Hide. Somewhere small and dark, and stay still.
- Hold your breath when one is close: Space, or BREATH on a phone. Let go too soon and it hears you gasp.
- Make it look away. Throw a bottle (click, or THROW) and it goes to where it breaks.
- Get to the CN Tower, and up it. From King & John to the roof, 451 metres up. Then hold on until sunrise.

- BREATH (hold), USE (it says HOLD when you need to), CROUCH, RUN (hold), and THROW when you carry a bottle. II pauses.
- Upright or sideways. On a phone it goes full screen when you start.
Tips
- Crouch (C) on metal: every step on the bridge and the stair rings.
- Clicking above you means stop.
- Caught? You start again at the last of three places: the shop, the Tower’s doors, or the stair door at 342 metres.
- Running carries half a block. Walk when you can.
- A thrown bottle can set off a car alarm. Then everything on the street heard that.
- Headphones make it fair: without them the game has to allow for its own sound coming back in.
Your microphone never leaves your device. Nothing is recorded, kept or sent.
No mic? Play anyway: they still hear your feet, your breath and the doors. The breath in the game is a button: never hold your real one. Recording your reaction is a separate choice, off unless you say yes before a game.
ABYSS
Nine decks. One way up. The Captain behind you.
The goal
- Get out of Cabin 47. Open the door (E). From then on the deck floods on its own clock.
- Find the way up. Stairs, a ladder, a lift: walk into them and they take you. The porthole map shows the way.
- Run when it hesitates. Everything down there pauses when it notices you. That is your moment.
- Reach the panel. Nine decks up, on the boat deck, with the Captain behind you. Then hold on.

Tips
- The clock at the top is the water. Every deck has its own.
- Some stairs stop halfway. Higher up, some of the signs lie.
- The porthole map never shows what is down there with you.
- Running costs breath. Out of breath in the water: hang on and rest.
- Plug in an Xbox or PlayStation controller and press any button: it names the right buttons and shakes when something gets you.

What every game needs.
Headphones
They’re horror games: half of it is what you hear. In HOLD YOUR BREATH and DRAKE’S MANSION, headphones also keep the game’s own sound out of your microphone.
A controller, if you like
Xbox and PlayStation controllers work in all four games, by USB or Bluetooth (HOUSE RULES and DRAKE’S MANSION take Switch Pro too). Plug it in and press any button: the game switches over and names the right buttons.
A phone
Every game plays on a phone, in the browser. A stick comes up under your left thumb and you look with your right; the buttons appear on the screen. Opened a link inside TikTok or Instagram? Open it in your browser instead.
The microphone (two games)
HOLD YOUR BREATH and DRAKE’S MANSION can hear you, if you let them. Your microphone never leaves your device. Nothing is recorded, kept or sent. No mic? Play anyway. Recording your reaction is a separate choice, off unless you say yes before a game.
If it stutters
Close other tabs, plug a laptop in, and let the game go full screen. On a phone, turn off battery saver. Still slow? what you play on.
